I've often heard people say that the lifestyle of a digital nomad is filled with adventure, thrill, and happiness. However, that portrayal is not entirely accurate. It's not all sunshine and roses; where there are positives, there are also negatives. Having been a digital nomad for quite some time now, I feel it's important to share my own struggles. If I had to sum it up in one sentence: I don't have a permanent home, I constantly feel broke, and I lack a stable group of friends—these are the challenges I face. As a digital nomad, I'm always on the move. When I finish my work, there's no "going home" for me; my home is wherever I happen to be when the workday ends. Whether it's a beach, a café, a fancy restaurant, a hotel room, a mountain, a trail, or a riverside camp, my "home" constantly changes. While it can be exciting to experience different places, it eventually becomes exhausting. I start to miss having a permanent home...
